How does Sonic Moves work?

Sonic Moves is a platform for creating and experiencing body-interactive soundscapes and pieces of music. It consists of two independent apps: the Sonic Moves Creator for designing content and the Sonic Moves Player, which is used to play the created songs with the body. A person is tracked via the camera of the iPhone or iPad. The individual positions of the hands, for example, can influence the music and sound.

How can I find Sonic Moves songs?

Sonic Moves Player is the playback station for all songs created by creatives in Sonic Moves Creator. Several songs are already pre-installed in the player. How does motion control work?

Sonic Moves uses your device's camera to create a virtual 3D skeleton in real time using artificial intelligence. The coordinates of this model then influence the sound. Body tracking takes place locally, i.e. on the device. No data is sent to a cloud.

Is Sonic Moves also available for Android?

No, for technical reasons and because of our development capacity, Sonic Moves is only available on Apple platforms.

What is the difference between “ARKit Tracking” and “Standard Tracking”?

ARKit tracking uses a special Apple feature that also recognizes the position in the room. Standard tracking cannot do this, but it works faster and more accurately, which is why we use it as the default setting. The position in space is currently used for improved immersion in pieces with spatial audio.

Can I customize the controls?

If you want to create your own interactive sounds, you can try out the Sonic Moves Creator and play them directly in the Sonic Moves Player.
